Halloween Horror Movie ‘Cobweb’ Climbs onto Blu-ray in September
This year’s new horror movie Cobweb spins a genuinely scary tale, of a young boy who begins to fear his own parents, in all the warm autumn colors and October atmosphere of Halloween (read our review here), and it is coming home on Blu-ray and DVD this September, just in time for the season it was meant to be watched during.
Fear consumes a small family when Cobweb arrives on Blu-ray (including Digital code) and DVD, starring Lizzy Caplan (Castle Rock), Antony Starr (The Boys), Cleopatra Coleman (pictured above; Infinity Pool, In the Shadow of the Moon), and Woody Norman as the film’s young protagonist Peter. Directed by Samuel Bodin (Netflix’s Marianne) and written by Chris Thomas Devlin (Netflix’s 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Cobweb asks the terrifying question, do you trust your parents?
The official synopsis: Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that?
Bonus Features include three behind the scenes featurettes:
- Becoming “The Girl”
- Through the Eyes of a Child
- A Primal Fear
Cobweb will be released on Blu-ray (buy it here via Amazon) and DVD on September 12, from Lionsgate. It will also be available to stream on Digital platforms starting this Friday, August 11.
