[Fan Film] ‘The Shape’

There are literally hundreds of Halloween-inspired fan films on the internet, and Halloween Daily News is excited to showcase some of the best and most original that we have seen.

Today, for “Fan Film Friday”, we’re featuring the brand new short film The Shape, an original and atmospheric modern day continuation of the Michael Myers mythology.

It is basically what could have been the sequel to Halloween Resurrection, but it could almost fall anywhere in the continuity following Halloween II, as it more importantly reinforces the concept that Evil Never Dies.

Written and directed by Jay Curtis Miller and starring Niki Marie as “Becca” and Brayden Dimuzio as “Wes”, the film premiered on Vimeo earlier this week, on Halloween 2016.

I made the first Halloween Fan Film in 1991 called “The Shape” and later making two sequels in 1992 and 1996. All shot on hi-8 video (long before the awesome HD cameras out today). They’re now on YouTube and all three films edited into one called “The Shape Epic.” I’ve never seen one of these fan films prior to mine, but I’d be interested if there was one.
