‘Dead By Daylight: The Halloween Chapter’ Brings Michael Myers to Consoles August 2017

The popular horror-themed video game Dead by Daylight – in which both Michael Myers and Laurie Strode from Halloween were introduced as playable characters in the online version last fall – has recently come home to gaming consoles last month, and now “The Halloween Chapter” is bringing Myers home as well.

In an announcement video released today, Starbreeze AB and Behaviour Digital officially announced that Dead by Daylight: The Halloween Chapter is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in August.

First released on PC in June 2016, the horror game Dead by Daylight sold more than 1.8 million copies on the digital distribution platform Steam and became an instant favorite with streamers on Twitch and other streaming platforms before it was released for consoles on June 20, 2017.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in which one crazed killer hunts four friends through a terrifying nightmare. Players take on the role of both killer and survivors in a deadly game of cat and mouse. It is currently available on Steam.

As we previously reported, Michael Myers and Laurie Strode of John Carpenter’s 1978 film Halloween joined the Dead by Daylight as playable characters along with a Haddonfield map in October of last year.
