‘The Final Girls’ Slasher Comedy Trailer Looks Bloody Good

I can’t wait to see The Final Girls, a new horror comedy set within a fictional Friday the 13th-type slasher movie franchise that exists within the film itself. A new official trailer for this soon-to-be-classic arrived online yesterday, and we’ve been dying laughing ever since, as it looks really original and good.

Starring Taissa Farmiga of American Horror Story and Nina Dobrev of The Vampire Diaries, along with Malin Ackerman (Watchmen) and the very funny Angela Trimbur (Halloween II 2009), you can check out the trailer for this must-see event in the player below, and then give us your thoughts in the comments!

When Max (Taissa Farmiga) and her friends reluctantly attend a anniversary screening of Camp Bloodbath, the infamous ’80s horror film that starred Max’s late mother (Malin Akerman), they are mysteriously sucked into the silver screen. They soon realize they are trapped inside the cult classic movie and must team up with the fictional and ill-fated camp counselors, including Max’s mom as the scream queen, to battle the films machete-wielding killer. With the body count rising in scene after iconic scene, who will be the final girls left standing and live to escape this film?

The Final Girls opens in theaters, On Demand, and Digital HD on October 9.
