Danny McBride Quizzes ‘Chelsea’ On Michael Myers
Halloween 2018 co-writer and producer Danny McBride recently appeared on an episode of the Netflix talk show Chelsea, where host Chelsea Handler (Fun Size) interviewed McBride, until he turned the tables to quiz her about some of our favorite horror icons, including Michael Myers.
You can watch the full interview below, and while there is no actual news or update about the new Halloween film, it is still exciting to hear the project actually being mentioned and talked about out loud on such a public platform, which is already further along than than the previous attempts at another Michael Myers film that were in the works ever got.
As we previously reported, filming of the new Halloween movie will begin this fall for its October 2018 release.
David Gordon Green (Stronger, Our Brand Is Crisis, Joe, Pineapple Express) will direct from a screenplay by he and McBride (Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals). John Carpenter will executive produce and may also score the film, with Malek Akkad producing for Trancas and Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse. Green and McBride will also executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner. Zanne Devine and David Thwaites will oversee for Miramax, which is co-financing with Blumhouse.

As I’m sure you are well aware, 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of John Carpenter’s original 1978 Halloween.
