Watch Moschino’s Halloween-Themed Fashion Show at Universal Studios

Moschino embraced horror with a Halloween-themed fashion show last night, which was streamed online live from Universal Studios in Hollywood, featuring wildly haute outfits/costumes showcased in an atmosphere that was straight out of Haddonfield, but with techno music.

The event was Mocchino’s 2020 resort and men’s spring and summer runway shows, but it might as well have been a cosplay meetup, as high fashion quite literally bled into Halloween costuming.

Opening with a young blonde wearing a jack-o-lantern sweater frantically running from door-to-door just like Laurie Strode in Halloween, instead of a runway, the models for this show walked the foggy streets of Universal’s iconic backlot neighborhood, showing off the latest collection by designer Jeremy Scott, heavily influenced by classic horror movies and Halloween imagery.

Witches, demons and devils, killers and bloody victims, creepy twins, scarecrows, and uncountable jack-o-lanterns could be seen as the models paraded down the street like trick or treaters (only leggier) before an audience that included Underworld‘s Kate Beckinsale. You can even hear John Carpenter’s Halloween theme playing during the show in Beckinsale’s video posted to Instagram.

This event marked the first time in its 60-year history that Universal Studios’ backlot in Hollywood has served as a fashion runway, according to the Los Angeles Times.

You can watch the show below (it starts at about the 18:30 mark).
