Scares That Care 2019 Costume Contest Highlights [Video / Photo Gallery]

The 6th Annual Scares That Care Charity Weekend returned to Williamsburg, Virginia Aug. 2-4, with possibly the most heartfelt convention we’ve ever attended, as genre icons, talented vendors, and thousands of fans and cosplayers gathered, all to benefit a truly great cause.

Scares That Care is an all volunteer charity, where net proceeds from all organization events are provided to the recipients selected. Founded in 2006, “Scares That Care!” to date has raised and donated over $250,000 to organizations that treat sick children and families with a child affected by illness, burns, or women fighting breast cancer.

Halloween Daily News was honored to be a part of this great event for the first time this year, and we have a ton of coverage from the entire weekend, including cosplay and vendor photos and videos, and exclusive interviews with Joe Bob Briggs, Sarah Butler, Jibrail Nantambu, and more.

You can see highlights from the Scares That Care costume contest and charity awards presentations in the videos and photo gallery below, but be sure to check back for our interview with the 2019 Best in Show winner coming soon!
