Freeform Announces 31 Nights of Halloween Fan Fest Event

Freeform has announced the details of its 31 Nights of Halloween Fan Fest event happening this week in Hollywood, to be aired in October during the network’s annual Halloween programming block.

When Freeform (formerly ABC Family) announced their full schedule for October’s 31 Nights of Halloween (see the full schedule here), there was mention of a new original special, 31 Nights of Halloween Fan Festival, described then as “a celebration of Halloween’s biggest pop culture moments” and promising to “honor movies, TV shows, and music artists who’ve become synonymous with Halloween.”

The event is happening this Thursday, Sept. 12, headlined by Christina Aguilera, who will likely be performing her new song “Haunted Heart”, which was also just announced this week as part of the official soundtrack of the animated reboot The Addams Family (opening Oct. 11).

Last year Freeform threw the Halloween party of the year with it’s 25th Anniversary Hocus Pocus Bash… This year, they are taking it to the next level with “31 Nights of Halloween” Fan Fest! With live musical performances and surprise celebrity guests, this TV taping puts the “Treat” in Trick-or-Treat!

“31 Nights of Halloween” Fan Fest is a celebration of your favorite Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, and The Addams Family, plus a 50th Anniversary tribute to the Haunted Mansion! Featuring pop culture icons, surprise guest stars, and once-in-a-lifetime performances, this is a night you don’t want to miss.

The show is hosted by Vanessa Hudgens and Jordan Fisher with a special appearance by Christina Aguilera and performances by Kristin Chenoweth and JD McCreary, In Real Life, Salt ’N Pepa, Ray Parker, Jr., and additional surprise guest performers! The night will also feature appearances by Hocus Pocus cast members Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, Larry Bagby, and Tobias Jelenik; as well as Dan Akyroyd, Francia Raisa, Kevin Smith, Alaska, Ross Mathews, DJ Lady Bunny, and more!

It’s all happening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and if you’re in the area, you can sign up for free tickets here.
