Hellgirl Cosplay Wins Scares That Care 2019 Costume Contest [Video / Photo Gallery]

The 6th Annual Scares That Care Charity Weekend returned to Williamsburg, Virginia Aug. 2-4,  2019 with possibly the most heartfelt convention we’ve ever attended, and one of the highlights was definitely the costume contest, which featured some truly awesome and inventive horror cosplay.

At the 2019 costume contest on Saturday night, Aug. 3, 21-year-old Haley Eason, of South Mills, North Carolina, won the award for Best in Show for her stunning Hellboy-inspired Hellgirl cosplay, which included body paint, eye contacts, full size horns and tail, and a massive Right Hand of Doom, all of which she made herself.

You can watch our interview with the 2019 Best in Show winner Haley Eason in the following video and see her costume in the photo gallery below, then be sure to see more photos and videos from the costume contest here.

Scares That Care is an all volunteer charity, where net proceeds from all organization events are provided to the recipients selected. Founded in 2006, “Scares That Care!” to date has raised and donated over $250,000 to organizations that treat sick children and families with a child affected by illness, burns, or women fighting breast cancer.

Halloween Daily News was honored to be a part of this great event for the first time this year, and we have a ton of additional coverage from the entire weekend, including cosplay and vendor photos and videos, charity award presentations, and exclusive interviews with Joe Bob Briggs, Sarah Butler, Jibrail Nantambu, and more.
