HIFF Alum Krsy Fox’s Feature Film ‘Frank’ Makes a Deal with a Monster

A Halloween International Film Festival alum, writer, director, musician and actress Krsy Fox has completed her feature-length debut and is ready to introduce Frank to the world this month.

The official synopsis: In a moment of desperation, Ruby Chase (played by Fox) makes a lifetime vow of servitude to a monster, but breaks the deal when she commits suicide. Now angered, the monster (Frank) sets out on a course of bloody revenge, all leading to the one that Ruby loved the most. Can Ruby undo the damage she caused from beyond the grave, or will Frank destroy everything and everyone she has ever known and loved?

The film stars writer/director Krsy Fox (Underworld: Evolution, What the Spell), as well as Bonnie Aarons (The Nun, The Conjuring 2) as medium Mistress Eden, Azure Parsons, Lyndsi LaRose, Rachel Brunner, and Adam Busch.

Fox says, “This film was a crazy undertaking with a super large cast. When I first told people I was going to try to take this on independently, I was told I might be insane a lot. I probably am. We shot it as five different stories that all connect and wrap around each other due to Ruby’s life mistakes, and a horrifying monster that’s after them all.

“I honestly feel like the process of making this film got me and many of us through such a trying time. We got to make this crazy monster and pulled off some wild practical effects with the help of our amazing makeup team Gitsie, Tyler, and Ashley. Writing this story was such a special process, I put in it so many experiences I’ve had in my life, and had these incredible actresses and actors make this dream I had a reality.

“Every story has a female lead with a different driving force behind them. The outcome was this funny, heartfelt, surprising, and often terrifying ride I couldn’t be more proud of. Every person involved put their whole hearts into it, and I hope you love this movie as much as we do.”

Produced by OneFox Productions and Blood Lane Productions, Alameda Entertainment will release Frank on October 25, just in time for Halloween.
