‘Halloween Kills: Extended Cut’ Hits Digital in December, Blu-ray in January
Halloween Kills is coming to Amazon Digital in December in a new Extended Cut, and will then arrive on Blu-ray and DVD in January.
A new listing on Amazon, confirmed by Trancas Films, reveals that the Halloween Kills: Extended Cut will be available to stream starting on #MichaelMyersMonday, December 13.
Director and co-writer David Gordon Green previously revealed that an extra scene removed from the theatrical cut will be reinserted into the Extended Cut. That additional final scene is also revealed in Halloween Kills: The Official Movie Novelization by Tim Waggoner, which is currently available to order via Amazon here.
Halloween Kills will then be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD the following month, with a Best Buy exclusive Steelbook currently up for pre-order and dated for January 11, 2022. You can see the Steelbook cover art below.
The official synopsis: And the Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet. Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.
The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.
Halloween Kills is now in theaters and streaming on Peacock now.
