Here’s Every Michael Myers ‘Halloween’ Reference in the ‘Scream’ Franchise
There are no shortage of references to Michael Myers and the Halloween franchise to be found within the Scream franchise, starting with director Wes Craven’s 1996 original masterpiece and continuing through to the new Scream 2022, so we made a list of all (we think) of them from every movie and even the TV series.
Scream writer and franchise creator Kevin Williamson has said the John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween is his favorite movie of all time and the reason he became a filmmaker, and the original Scream is very much a love letter to the horror genre and to horror fans, but also to Halloween.
