‘Halloween Ends’ Trailer Drops at CinemaCon, Reactions Call it “Intense” and “Terrifying”
The first official footage of Halloween Ends premiered tonight at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Jamie Lee Curtis hit the stage to introduce a legacy trailer featuring flashbacks to the original Halloween, the most recent David Gordon Green-directed films, and this October’s highly anticipated sequel.
On stage at CinemaCon, the annual theater owners convention where movie studios preview their biggest upcoming releases, Jamie Lee Curtis said, “It has been the ride of my life to portray Laurie Strode since 1978,” later adding, “This Halloween, we will experience Laurie’s last stand. Trust me, it’s going to fuck you up.”
While the trailer is not expected to be released to the public online for at least a few weeks, reactions on Twitter from those who were in the room and saw it suggest that we are in for a treat this fall. We’ve compiled some of our favorite reactions for you to check out below.

“Horror lets us confront what we can’t control.” Jamie Lee Curtis is here to present #HalloweenEnds alongside two theater workers from an Alamo Drafthouse in San Antonio. “This Halloween we will experience Laurie’s last stand. Trust me it’s going to f*ck you up.” #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/lqmYxceT1P

First trailer for #HalloweenEnds uses footage from all the films to tie everything together and ends with @jamieleecurtis fighting Michael Myers for the last time. Thumbs up. #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/jRZm5qIIY9

"Every scream, every scare, every slash has led to this."
So says the first trailer for Halloween Ends. It's mostly old footage but culminates in an INTENSE battle between Michael and Laurie in a kitchen where Laurie attacks HIM. LFG. #cinemacon pic.twitter.com/5yd5eIrmSJ

The trailer for #HalloweenEnds serves as a tribute to the legacy of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Fans of this franchise look like they are in for a real treat as this franchise comes to an end. The trailer looked awesome. #CinemaCon

Jamie Lee Curtis jokingly shaded the audience at #CinemaCon because they didn't give her a standing ovation. In #HalloweenEnds, Laurie Strode and Michael Myers meet for the last time: "Trust me, it's going to fuck you up," she promises. The trailer is legitimately terrifying

#HalloweenEnds footage is highlighted by a brutal fight between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers and it ends with Laurie stabbing him through the hand and pulling a knife to his head. Looks like a huge improvement over the last one, can't wait!#CinemaCon https://t.co/0CRKTfeks7 pic.twitter.com/eh8jvyCsTf
