Andi Matichak Comments on ‘Halloween Ends’

In a recent interview, Andi Matichak commented briefly on Halloween Ends, while the actual plot of the Michael Myers movie sequel remains a tightly kept secret for now.

Speaking to KTLA earlier this month about Halloween Ends, Matichak said, “Personally, I absolutely love it. It’s really David Gordon Green’s stamp on the franchise, for me, and I’m very grateful to be included in it.” Further teasing the carnage that we can expect, she adds, “It’s still scary and it never gets old. I think that we have such incredible filmmakers involved in it that everything is done really well. Like the practical effects are pretty incredible that Chris Nelson does, and seeing that is always incredibly traumatizing.”

On her co-stars in the previous films, Judy Greer and Jamie Lee Curtis, Matichak says, “They’re incredible women. We’re very bummed that Miss Judy won’t be joining us for the third one, but we hopefully do her proud.”

As we previously reported, Jamie Lee Curtis has seemingly indicated that the first official trailer for Halloween Ends will be released online this Wednesday, July 20.

We will be digging into all of this week’s news during our upcoming #MichaelMyersMonday Live show this Monday, July 18, at 10:31 p.m. (EST), and then plan to join us for a special HDN Live breakdown and discussion of the trailer on Wednesday, July 20, on our YouTube channel here.

In Halloween Ends, Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode, along with returning cast members Andi Matichak as Allyson, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, and James Jude Courtney as The Shape (Michael Myers).

Director David Gordon Green co-wrote the script with Paul Brand Logan, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride. John Carpenter returns to compose and perform the soundtrack score, with his bandmates, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.

Halloween Ends opens in theaters on October 14, 2022.
