Robert Englund-Danielle Harris Halloween Film ‘Natty Knocks’ Coming This Summer [Exclusive]
Danielle Harris is reuniting with her Halloween 4 director Dwight Little for the upcoming new horror film Natty Knocks, also starring genre icons Robert Englund and Bill Moseley, and we now have confirmation that it takes place during Halloween time, as well as an exclusive update on when we can look for the movie in theaters.
Early details of the plot, as first reported by Deadline, reveal that the film follows “the story of a small-town babysitter, played by Charlotte Fountain-Jardim, who, on Halloween Eve, along with her ‘kids,’ has to survive serial killer Abner Honeywell, who is himself the traumatized son of B-movie horror legend known as ‘Natty Knocks’.”
Robert Englund, Danielle Harris, and Bill Moseley star alongside Jason James Richter and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim.
HDN can exclusively report that Natty Knocks will be released day-and-date in theaters and on digital platforms in late July, with a physical Blu-ray to follow at a later date.
Danielle Harris spoke about her excitement to be working with Little again, more than 30 years after he cast her as young Jamie Lloyd in the 1988 sequel Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, during our 2021 interview.
Robert Englund, who of course immortalized Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, also took to Instagram earlier this week to express his excitement for his own reunion with Little, who directed Englund in 1989’s The Phantom of the Opera.
Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects) rounds out an impressive trinity of horror favorites that are appearing in Natty Knocks.
In addition to the Halloween and Phantom films, Little has previously directed Marked For Death, Rapid Fire, Murder at 1600, Free Willy 2, Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid, and numerous TV episodes for series including Nikita, Prison Break, and Freddy’s Nightmares, among others.
“Ever since working with Robert Englund on Phantom of the Opera, I have been looking for a way for us to find a project to do together,” said Little told Deadline. “Natty Knocks is exactly the small-town horror film I was hoping to find to jump back into this genre.”
The film is written by Benjamin Olson, and produced by Sandy Little and Jason James Richter, with Amit Sarin. Vineesha Arora-Sarin is Executive Producer.
