Spirit Halloween 2023 Promo Teases New Animatronics, Including Leatherface

This evening, Spirit Halloween released a cryptic new teaser video that seems to preview the names of the new animatronics to be released in 2023, including a new life-size Leatherface.

Titled “Welcome to Spirit Hallows”, the 20-second promo video features shots the Spirit Hallows Cemetery and some of the tombstones within, which include names that we are guessing will correspond with many of this year’s new animatronic characters arriving at Spirit stores in a few months. There is also a link in the description of the video directing us to a new Spirit Hallows page on the official website, where each of the tombstones and even the names of the new animatronic characters can be found. None are up for purchase yet, but stay tuned.

Among the biggest eyebrow raisers is one tombstone reads, “in Loving Memory of Thomas Brown Hewitt“, evoking the “real” name of Leatherface in 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake; however, clicking on that tombstone’s link on the Spirit Hallows page reveals that this will in fact be licensed from the original 1974 film and it will feature the killer in his “Pretty Woman” mask. He will stand six feet tall and will be available for $349.99. This is especially wild when you remember that we’ve previously reported on another new life-size Leatherface animatronic officially licensed from the original 1974 Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be available at Lowe’s stores this Halloween, as well.

HDN was notified today that we should expect something(?) in the mail from Spirit Halloween to arrive on Friday, so look for our unboxing and additional reporting on our YouTube channel tomorrow.

As we reported earlier this week, Spirit Halloween is hosting its grand opening celebration at its flagship location in the brand’s hometown of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey on Saturday, July 29.
