‘Halloween H20’ 4K Steelbook Celebrates 25th Anniversary
A brand new 4K Ultra HD Steelbook edition of the 1998 sequel Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later is coming this September in celebration of this year’s 25th anniversary of the film.
Released in theaters 25 years ago this week, on August 5, 1998, Halloween H20 reunited Michael Myers and Laurie Strode for the first time since 1981’s Halloween II, with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her iconic role as Laurie. The cast also includes future Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, Josh Hartnett, Joseph Gordon Levitt, LL Cool J, and the legendary Janet Leigh (Psycho, The Fog).
It is directed by Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part 2 and 3).
In the film, now the headmistress of a private school, Laurie Strode (Curtis) is still struggling with the horrifying, 20-year-old memories of Michael Myers, when he suddenly appears again. And this Halloween, Laurie’s rebellious son (Hartnett), and their friends will become Michael’s newest victims unless Laurie can conquer her fears and put evil in its place once and for all.
This marks the first time that Halloween H20 has received its own 4K Ultra HD release, following last year’s Scream Factory set, Halloween 4K Collection (1995-2002)., in which it was included along with The Curse of Michael Myers and Resurrection.
