Disney Announces 2023 Halloween Stop-Motion Special and Episodes for Kids

Disney has announced a number of Halloween-themed episodes of some of their popular animated kids shows, as well as an all-new stop-motion special airing on the Disney Channel and its affiliate networks and streaming on Disney+ this season.

First up, the animated series Pupstruction celebrates Halloween in a themed episode premiering this Thursday, September 7, on both Disney Junior and Disney+.

A new full-length Halloween episode of the Disney Junior series SuperKitties premieres on September 25 on Disney Junior and shortly thereafter on Disney Plus. In the episode, titled “Howloween Cat,” the pets Howloween treats go missing all over Kittydale, so the SuperKitties must track down the thief.

A Halloween-themed episode of Mickey Mouse Funhouse premieres on September 26 on Disney Junior, followed by a Dia de los Muertos-themed episode premiering on October 6 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Both episodes will stream shortly after on Disney+.

In the new stop-motion special Mickey and Friends Trick or Treats, Mickey Mouse and friends are trick or treating when Donald Duck spies the spookiest mansion he’s ever seen and assumes it has the best treats. After he convinces his friends to risk a visit, the owner, Witch Hazel, casts a spell which turns them into their costumes.

The special premieres on October 1 on Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD, and will then be streaming the next day on Disney+. You can check out a preview of Mickey and Friends Trick or Treats, featuring a fun Haunted Mansion Easter egg, below.
