Watch Our ‘Dark Harvest’ Mystery Promo Gift Unboxing [Video]

MGM’s feature film adaptation of Norman Partridge’s novel Dark Harvest is the must-see Halloween movie 2023, if not the decade (full review coming soon), and to celebrate its recent release onto Digital streaming platforms, HDN received an incredible mystery promotional package that contained some amazing treats that greatly improved our holiday celebration this past October.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:  In a cursed town, the annual harvest becomes a brutal battle for survival. On Halloween 1963, Sawtooth Jack, a terrifying legend, rises from the cornfields, threatening the town’s children. Groups of boys unite to defeat the murderous scarecrow before midnight. Richie, a rebellious outcast, joins the run, motivated by his brother’s previous victory. As the hunt progresses, Richie makes a shocking discovery and faces a pivotal choice to break the relentless cycle.

Casey Likes (The Birch) and E’myri Crutchfield (Fargo) star in the film, along with Dustin Ceithamer (Obi-Wan Kenobi, The New Mutants) as the film’s wicked practical creature, Sawtooth Jack. The cast also includes Jeremy Davies (Lost, The Black Phone), Elizabeth Reaser (The Haunting of Hills House, The Handmaid’s Tale), and Luke Kirby (Halloween: Resurrection, No Man of God)

Special effects makeup artist Vincent Van Dyke (Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends) served as prosthetic creature effects designer for the film, and Gary J. Tunnicliffe (Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween: Resurrection, Hellraiser films) worked as makeup artist for Sawtooth Jack.

David Slade (30 Days of Night, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) directed the movie adaptation of Norman Partridge’s 2006 novel from a script by Michael Gilio (Dungeons & Dragons).

Dark Harvest is available now on Digital streaming platforms (watch via Amazon Prime Video here).
