‘Treasure Trackers’ Trailer Finds Cursed Halloween Gold
A brand new family friendly Halloween movie, Treasure Trackers is coming this October, and the official trailer has just been released online, promising fantasy, adventure, and nostalgia reminiscent of Amblin classics like The Goonies.
Treasure Trackers follows California surfer Leah who must relocate to the small town of Carterville, where she bands together fellow misfits Marshy and Tessa to track down the town’s mythic treasure. When the trio uncovers the truth behind the treasure’s Halloween curse, they must outsmart the high school troublemakers before an evil spirit is accidentally released.
When Leah learns the folklore surrounding the small town’s founders, she soon learns that hidden the gold bars are cursed by the town’s local “Raven Witch”, and it now possesses the trapped soul of the evil town founder, Silas Carter. Whoever finds the gold risks releasing Silas’ wicked spirit on the world, and the local bully and his high school friends are also on the hunt.
From the beginning, the directors knew they wanted to make the musical score for something special, and one of their earliest decisions was to bring on board composer Robin Hoffmann, who worked closely with the directors throughout the production to develop and refine the film’s musical themes. To achieve the big, cinematic feel they envisioned, the team headed to Europe, where Hoffman recorded the score with a 90-piece orchestra.
Directed by brothers Drew and Nate Garcia, from a screenplay by Harris Kauffman, the film stars Charity Rose (Lost in Tomorrow), Sean Jay, and Amelia Salazar.
Treasure Trackers will be available to stream on Digital platforms starting on October 1.
