[Interview] Dakota Gorman and Brock Bodell Talk ‘Hellcat’, and Halloween

The isolating new horror movie Hellcat will be unleashed on Shudder this week, and we talked to the writer and director Brock Bodell about the origin of his twisted feature directorial debut, and to the film’s star Dakota Gorman about the challenges of being on screen for almost every frame of the film while in a severely limited space, and more.

In our video conversation earlier this month, we also of course talked about Halloween and what it means to each of them.

In Hellcat: “Lena wakes in a moving camper trailer with a horrifying wound. She’s warned by the driver that they have one hour to get to a doctor, or she’ll succumb to an unimaginable fate. As the pain sets in and reality begins to fray, who should really be afraid?”

Written and directed by Brock Bodell, the film stars Dakota Gorman, Todd Terry, James Austin Johnson, Liz Atwater, Jordan Mullins, Elise Gilbert, and Janey Ivey.

Hellcat premieres on Shudder this Friday, August 14.
