[Fan Film] ‘Halloween: American Nightmare’
There are literally hundreds of Halloween-inspired fan films on the internet, and Halloween Daily News is excited to showcase some of the best and most original that we have seen.
Today, for “Fan Film Friday”, we’re featuring the just released Halloween: American Nightmare.
Written and directed by Terry Lawson and shot by Ryan Kort in and around Berkeley, California, the film was made with no budget and a lot of love for Michael Myers, filmed on a Canon C-100 and a DJI Inspire 1 X5R drone.
The Myers mask used is a “Creep” by Nightowl Productions, in what looks to be an official sequel with plenty of spooky seasonal atmosphere.
As Lawson explains, “I wrote a script in 2003, found someone with a camera in 2007 and started filming. Half the cast moved away, so I started from scratch and shot the whole thing by myself in 2008. After years of trying to find someone to edit it, the tapes were ‘lost’. Finally decided to reshoot the whole thing now having more experience and way better gear. This whole film was made with a budget of zero dollars by a crew of two people, and I wouldn’t have done it any other way.”
The full film was just released online on November 6.
