Blumhouse’s ‘Halloween’ Sequel to Film in Wilmington, NC

It looks like Blumhouse’s Halloween sequel will relocate production from Charleston, South Carolina, where their 2018 Halloween was shot, to Wilmington, North Carolina, with filming to begin soon.

According to the Wilmington-based Keep NC Film page, production offices will open in Wilmington in the coming weeks, with an official announcement forthcoming.

As we reported last week, Blumhouse’s Halloween sequel is shaping up to start shooting after Labor Day, with Universal planning to release it on October 16, 2020.

Jamie Lee Curtis is expected to return as Laurie Strode, with Judy Greer and Andi Matichak also expected to reprise their respective roles as Laurie’s daughter and granddaughter.

David Gordon Green reportedly wrote the script and is expected to return to direct the sequel.

Malek Akkad will produce alongside Jason Blum and Bill Block, with Danny McBride likely return as an executive producer alongside Green, Curtis, original Halloween director John Carpenter, and Blumhouse’s Couper Samuelson, among others.

Stay tuned as we continue to dig for more information/confirmation on all of this!
