‘Happy Halloween: A Halloween Kills Fan Film’ is the “Lost Scene” from 2018 You Needed

It’s been a while since we’ve regularly featured fan films here at HDN, but there are some exceptionally good ones that have just come online in recent weeks, including Happy Halloween: A Halloween Kills Fan Film, which is presented as a “lost scene” from Blumhouse’s Halloween 2018.

While Halloween Kills was delayed until next October, this fan film does supply a tasty treat to tide us over, as the action takes place in between events depicted in the 2018 film.

From the short’s synopsis: In this lost scene from Halloween 2018, a police officer, a trick-or-treater and three high school friends have a deadly encounter with The Shape.

With a runtime of just under 14 minutes and made with no budget for the love the franchise, the fan film is remarkably effective in capturing the feel of the 2018 movie, both in look and tone, and some of the kills hold their own among the most memorable in the actual franchise.

Written and directed by Courtlan Gordon and Jimmy Champane, Happy Halloween stars Never Hike Alone and Never Hike in the Snow filmmaker Vincenti DiSanti as The Shape.
