‘The Legend of Halloween’ Announcement Coming This Week

Something new regarding the Halloween franchise is coming this week, and while we don’t know what it is yet, we now know that it’s called The Legend of Halloween.

Last night, Halloween Kills producer and Trancas Films Senior Vice President Ryan Freimann made a cryptic Instagram post with an artistic rendering of the iconic opening credits pumpkin from John Carpenter’s Halloween and this caption: “More treats than tricks are coming in the following days…we have been busy during quarantine! Be sure to follow @officialhalloweenmovies for news and announcements in the days to come! #halloweenmovies #halloweenmovie #halloween1978 #michaelmyers”

Now, as of just a few minutes ago, official accounts have been launched on Instagram and Twitter for The Legend of Halloween. The only post so far on those accounts is a still from the recent Halloween is Canceled short film parody, but with the added text “Halloween is not canceled. Stay tuned!”

I discussed some of the possibilities of what this announcement could be during last night’s Michael Myers Monday Live broadcast, but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what exactly The Legend of Halloween is.

Keep watching this site for all kinds excited news this week as we approach Halloween!

What do you think this surprise announcement will be?
