2022 Fangoria Chainsaw Award Winners Recap

The 2022 Fangoria Chainsaw Awards were presented in a virtual ceremony that premiered on Shudder on Sunday evening (May 15), recognizing outstanding achievements in horror film and television.

The ceremony was once again be hosted by actor and writer David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad, Batman: The Long Halloween), and featured Dee Wallace, Joe Lo Truglio, Joe Dante, Tracie Thoms, Jim Cummings, Rachel True, and the directing team known as Radio Silence (Ready or Not, Scream) among its presenters.

This year’s winners include John Carpenter for Best Score for Halloween Kills and Christopher Nelson for Best Makeup FX for Halloween Kills, as well. Other big winners include James Wan’s Malignant for Best Wide-Release Movie, PG: Psycho Goreman for Best Limited-Release Movie, Yaya Abdul Mateen II for Best Lead Performance for Candyman, and Edgar Wright for Best Director for Last Night in Soho.
