‘Terrifier 3’ Officially Announced, Art the Clown Sequel Coming in 2024

While it is no surprise that a third entry in the Terrifier franchise is on the way, we are excited to report that Terrifier 3 has now been officially announced, as worldwide sales for the project have begun at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.

France-base distribution outfit The Coven just launched worldwide sales on Terrifier 3, with Damien Leone returning as writer and director, and producer Phil Falcone once again overseeing the continuation of the franchise, as first reported by Deadline today.

While plot details remain under wraps for now, David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera are both expected to reprise their roles as Art the Clown and Sienna, respectively, in the new movie.

The Coven will serve as exec producer and is already getting interest from buyers.

The new sequel is understood to be getting a budget in the low-mid seven figure range, a significant increase on that of last year’s Terrifer 2.

Priscilla Smith of The Coven said of the next instalment, “There will be a much bigger budget this time around, which is intended to give the filmmakers more creative freedom, and let them be as wild as they can be.  And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year.”

Writer/director Damien Leone added, Terrifier 3 will be another boundary pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate. If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Filming is expected to begin in November or December of this year, with plans to release Terrifier 3 in late 2024.
