‘ted’ Episode 4 Celebrates Halloween

The new Peacock comedy series ted, a prequel to the Ted movies, dropped its entire first season this week, including a Halloween episode.

In Episode 4, titled “Subways, Bicycles, and Automobiles,” Ted’s Halloween plans with John (to throw eggs at any trick or treaters who the leave their house with a “less than stellar” costume) are thwarted when John’s cousin Blaire forces him to be her designated driver.

The episode also finds the main characters watching other classic Halloween episodes of Rosanne and Married… With Children on TV.

In this prequel series to the Ted films, it’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham, pictured above in the Halloween episode). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.

Our friend Charlotte Fountain-Jardim also appears in a prominent role in season finale episode. You can watch our interview with Charlotte on her lead role in 2023’s Halloween horror movie Natty Knocks here.

ted is streaming now on Peacock, and you can catch a brief tease from the Halloween episode in the official trailer for the series below.
