Watch ‘Creeping Death’ Opening Scene [Exclusive]
A brand new Halloween slasher based on the ancient traditions of the holiday itself, Creeping Death begins streaming on Screambox this week, and HDN is excited to exclusively premiere the opening scene of the film right here, previewing a taste of the atmosphere and gore that awaits.
Here’s the synopsis: Halloween was always Tim’s favorite holiday – until his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Now, all he wants is a quiet night in. That is quickly disrupted when his friends pay him an unwanted visit after stealing a mysterious sack from the doorstep of a local crazy. This sacrilegious act unleashes the Aos Si, a Celtic spirit that walks the earth on Halloween. They must band together and survive the night or make the ultimate offering… their lives.
Writer-director Matt Sampere makes his feature debut, based on his short film of the same name. Sampere also stars in the film, with Monique Parent, Alan Maxson, Delian Lincourt, Hunter Kohl, Ian Brown, Elise Rackemann, K Cody Hunt, Andy Horowitz, Jody Pucello, and Scott Lea.
Described as a callback to terrors birthed in the mythology of Halloween, Creeping Death is produced by Sampere, Jason Scott Goldberg (Glorious), Erika McGowan, Brenda Block, and Tyler Dane Sutton.
The Aos Si is a supernatural race in Celtic mythology—daoine sìth in Scottish Gaelic—comparable to fairies or elves. They are said to descend from the Tuatha Dé Danann, meaning the ‘People of Danu‘, according to pagan tradition, as stated by Wikipedia.
Creeping Death premieres on Screambox on Tuesday, September 10.
