[Interview] Patrick Brice on Directing ‘The Creep Tapes’ Season 3, Peachfuzz’s Mask, and Halloween

Peachfuzz is back for more wild murders in Season 3 of The Creep Tapes, now streaming on Shudder, and we talked to Patrick Brice, director and co-writer of both Creep movies and The Creep Tapes series, about choosing Peachfuzz’s now iconic wolf mask for the first film, putting Peachfuzz in increasingly unimaginable settings or circumstances, and more.

In our video conversation last week, we also of course talked about Halloween and what it means to Brice, and we asked if we could ever see an episode of The Creep Tapes that sets Peachfuzz loose on Halloween Night.

From the official synopsis, “Season 3 continues to expose a collection of video tapes from the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer (played by Mark Duplass). Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior and the victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake.”

Directed by Patrick Brice, co-written by Brice and Mark Duplass, who also stars in the show, the new season features guest stars including Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher), Nic Hamilton (It), Elliott Fullam (Terrifier 2 and 3), and Ora Duplass (Mark’s daughter).

The Creep Tapes Season 3 premiered its first two episodes today, September 15, with the next two episodes arriving on September 22, and the final two on September 29.
