[Interview] Raymond Creamer on Directing ‘Goody Goody’, and His Go-To Halloween Movies

The new supernatural horror movie Goody Goody just arrived on Shudder, delivering a tense home birth gone nightmarishly wrong, demon possession, and more, and we talked to the film’s writer and director Raymond Creamer recently about the origins of his feature directorial debut and the art of making what is unseen scary.

In our fun video conversation last week, we also of course talked a bit about Halloween and what it means to Creamer, and he gave us some of his top Halloween season movie recommendations, including the excellent deep cuts The Guest, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (all of which are awesome).

In Goody Goody, “Lulled into a necessary sense of comfort during a long home birth process, expecting parents and their midwife begin to realize something may be horribly wrong. A blizzard rages outside, trapping the family in their home as increasingly sinister complications arise.”

Written and directed by Raymond Creamer, the film stars Samantha Robinson, Zoe Renee, Colby Hollman, and Colleen Foy.
