‘Halloween Kills’ Behind the Scenes Video Released

Happy Halloween, everybody! The big day is finally here, and Blumhouse has given us all a treat, as Jamie Lee Curtis just posted a behind the scenes video from the set of the upcoming sequel Halloween Kills., teasing all the blood and mayhem we can expect when Michael Myers returns in one year.

The video, initially posted to Curtis’ Instagram and Twitter accounts, which you can see below, is a 20-second fun size package with a lot to chew on, including quick glimpses of Anthony Michael Hall looking badass with a baseball bat as Tommy Doyle, seemingly a young Lonnie Elam, Karen still wearing her Christmas sweater, and of course James Jude Courtney in silhouette as The Shape, Michael Myers. It ends with Curits, as a bloody Laurie Strode in a stretcher, wishing us all “Happy Halloween”.

In addition to Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her iconic role as Laurie Strode, the cast includes Kyle Richards (read our interview here) reprising her 1978 role as Lindsey Wallace, Nancy Stephens reprising her 1978 role as Nurse Marion, Charles Cyphers rerpising his 1978 role as Leigh Brackett, and Anthony Michael Hall, who will take over the role of Tommy Doyle from Brian Andrews, as well as Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, and James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle continuing their collaboration as Michael Myers.

Also back from Halloween 2018 are Andi Matichak as Allyson, Judy Greer as Karen, and Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam, along with newcomer Victoria Paige Watkins as Christy.

Directed by David Gordon Green from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride and Scott Teems, Halloween Kills is scheduled to wrap principal filming in Wilmington, North Carolina this week.

Michael Myers returns when Halloween Kills arrives in theaters on October 16, 2020.

Halloween Ends, intended as the finale of this saga, will be released on October 15, 2021. Green will direct as well, from a script he co-wrote with McBride and writers new to the series, Paul Brad Logan, and Chris Bernier.
