‘Halloween Kills’ Filming Wraps

That’s a wrap, as filming of the upcoming sequel Halloween Kills has officially concluded in Wilmington, North Carolina.

We know film was scheduled to conclude last night, and Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek confirming the wrap with an Instagram post earlier today (11/3/19) after a 37-day shoot.

This comes after a behind the scenes video from the set of the highly anticipated film was released on Halloween day, which you can watch below. Many photos have surfaced from the set over recent weeks (like the one above of David Gordon Green and Andi Matichak), and we will be rounding up some of our favorites into a gallery in the coming days.

In addition to Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her iconic role as Laurie Strode, the cast includes Kyle Richards (read our interview here) reprising her 1978 role as Lindsey Wallace, Nancy Stephens reprising her 1978 role as Nurse Marion, Charles Cyphers rerpising his 1978 role as Leigh Brackett, and Anthony Michael Hall, who will take over the role of Tommy Doyle from Brian Andrews, as well as Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, and James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle continuing their collaboration as Michael Myers.

Also back from Halloween 2018 are Andi Matichak as Allyson, Judy Greer as Karen, and Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam, along with newcomer Victoria Paige Watkins as Christy.

Directed by David Gordon Green from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride and Scott Teems, Halloween Kills was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. While principal photography (filming) had wrapped, there could still be addition reshoots at a later date, as was the case with Halloween 2018.

Michael Myers returns when Halloween Kills arrives in theaters on October 16, 2020.

Halloween Ends, intended as the finale of this saga, will be filmed early next year, presumably back in Wilmington, though the location has not been confirmed as of this writing. It will be released on October 15, 2021, with Green directing from a script he co-wrote with McBride, Paul Brad Logan, and Chris Bernier.
