‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ Won’t Air on TV, But It’s Streaming Halloween

The animated classic It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown apparently will not be airing on network TV this year for the first time in decades, but it will be streaming online for free on Apple TV+.

Apple announced this week that its streaming service is the new home for all of the Peanuts holiday specials, including The Great Pumpkin., which has previously aired on network television – originally on CBS and more recently on ABC – every October for the last 54 years, since it first premiered in 1966.

The Great Pumpkin will be streamed outside of the Apple TV+ subscriber paywall from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, allowing anyone, even viewers without an Apple TV+ account or device, to watch during this time.

There is also still a small chance that ABC adds it to their schedule, though it is not listed as of this writing.
