Harley Quinn Returns in ‘The Suicide Squad’ Official Trailers

With Zack Snyder’s Justice League (and it’s black and white Justice is Grey alternate version) already a hit on HBO Max and continuing to break records on social media with the new #RestoreTheSnyderverse hashtag, the first official trailer for the next installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) of connected movies, The Suicide Squad, was released on Friday.

Directed by James Gunn The Suicide Squad, is an R-rated requel to David Ayer’s 2016 Suicide Squad, serving a somewhat of a reboot while also being a sequel featuring returning actors reprising their roles from the first film, including Margot Robbie in her third film as Harley Quinn (following Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey), Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Viola Davis once again as Amanda Waller.

The new Squad members include Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Sean Gunn as Weasel, and Sylvestor Stallone as the voice of King Shark.

The Suicide Squad will premiere in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6.
