‘Halloween Ends’ Trailer Release Date Announced

We are excited to report that the highly anticipated first official trailer for Halloween Ends is just days away, as Jamie Lee Curtis has seemingly revealed the date that it will drop.

Earlier this evening (July 13), Curtis tweeted a simple jack o’ lantern emoji alongside a date – “7/20” – apparently indicating that the first trailer for the big screen return of Michael Myers will be released online this coming Wednesday, July 20.

In related news, we are hearing that the first public test screening (possibly two) for the film was held on Tuesday night, and that reactions from some of those who were present were generally positive. Producer Jason Blum had tweeted that he saw the screening on Tuesday night, but has since deleted that tweet.

We will be digging into all of this news during our upcoming #MichaelMyersMonday Live show this Monday, July 18, at 10:31 p.m. (EST), and then plan to join us for a special HDN Live breakdown and discussion of the trailer on Wednesday, July 20, on our YouTube channel here.

In Halloween Ends, Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode, along with returning cast members Andi Matichak as Allyson, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, and James Jude Courtney as The Shape (Michael Myers).

Director David Gordon Green co-wrote the script with Paul Brand Logan, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride. John Carpenter returns to compose and perform the soundtrack score, with his bandmates, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.

Halloween Ends opens in theaters on October 14, 2022.
