SDCC 2022 Trailer Roundup

Comic-Con International is happening this weekend in San Diego, and DC and Marvel are both returning to Hall H for their first in-person presentations in three years, promising a number of new trailer drops, reveals, and maybe some surprise announcements, plus AMC’s new Interview with the Vampire series, The Sandman from Netflix, and more.

DC’s panel, advertised to feature Shazam: Fury of the Gods and Black Adam, is up first, to be followed this evening by Marvel Studios, where we may get our first look at this fall’s werewolf Halloween special.

John Wick 4 – Lionsgate released a sneak peek at their next action opus, arriving in March 2023.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods – The possessed doll horror icon Annabelle has a quick cameo appearance in the new official trailer for the Shazam sequel, directed by Annabelle: Creation director David F. Sandberg, following her previous DCEU cameos in Aquaman (directed by The Conjuring franchise creator James Wan) and 2019’s Shazam (also directed by Sandberg). She can be seen among other doll versions of Wonder Woman and Batman in one of the funniest moments (pictured above). Check out the trailer below!

Black Adam – Starring Dwayne (“The Rock”) Johnson as a superpowered antihero, a new look at this year’s Black Adam was unveiled during DC’s SDCC 2022 panel.

Interview With The Vampire – AMC’s new adaptation of Anne Rice’s immortal novel(s) drops this fall, and looks to be as gothic and bloody as the 1994 feature film version. This modern retelling premieres on October 2nd on AMC and AMC+.

The Sandman – Based on Neil Gaiman’s iconic graphic novel, the official trailer was unveiled for Netflix’s new series, The Sandman, premiering August 5, and it was also officially revealed that Mark Hamill (Star Wars) is voicing the character Mervyn Pumpkinhead.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – The Hulk and his cousin take center stage in the new trailer for Marvel’s latest Disney+ series, featuring a kickass cameo by Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, ahead of his 2024 Daredevil: Born Again series, announced at SDCC today.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – This year’s next big MCU sequel will arrive in theaters in November, and the emotional first official teaser was revealed tonight.
