‘The Sisters of Samhain’ Coming from Fangoria and Bloody Disgusting
Two of the biggest names in horror are joining forces for the first time, as Fangoria and Bloody Disgusting have announced that they are producing the new feature film The Sisters of Samhain.
The film follows a group of friends who must team up with a witch on Halloween night to prevent a rogue coven from bringing about the end of the world, according to the announcement from Bloody Disgusting.
The Sisters of Samhain was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, the duo behind BD’s V/H/S spinoff SiREN, as well as Super Dark Times and The Night House, directed by David Bruckner, which just sold for $12 million to Searchlight at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival.
The duo reteams with director Gregg Bishop (pictured above), who previously directed SiREN, The Other Side, and Dance of the Dead.
Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk, VFW, The Standoff at Sparrow Creek, Satanic Panic, Puppet Master: Littlest Reich) and Amanda Presmyk (VFW, The Standoff at Sparrow Creek, Satanic Panic) are producing for Cinestate and Fangoria, with Final Destination‘s Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor of Practical Pictures and Andy Cohen (Gifted) of Grade A Entertainment also producing, along with John Squires, Tom Owen, and Brad Miska (V/H/S, V/H/S/2, Southbound, SiREN) for Bloody Disgusting.
Adam Donaghey (A Ghost Story), Phil Nobile Jr. (Horror Noire), and Danielle Cox (The Standoff at Sparrow Creek) are executive producing.
We will obviously be covering this one closely, as more details become available and production begins.
