[Interview] Horror Metal Band Lesbian Bed Death Talk ‘Satan’s Cellar’, and Halloween

The U.K. horror metal band Lesbian Bed Death released their latest album, Satan’s Cellar, earlier this year (on Friday the 13th), a soundtrack to the horror film of the same, written and directed by the band’s founder Dan Peach, and we talked to them recently about the music, the movie, their origin story, and more.

The new album is filled with horror-infused goth rock Halloween anthems, and, needless to say, we’ve had it on regular rotation since it dropped. It is also the soundtrack to the movie Satan’s Cellar, a gory, blood-soaked horror anthology hitting festivals this year.

In a our video conversation earlier this week, we also of course talked about Halloween and what it means to each member of the band, founder and rhythm guitarist Dan Peach, drummer Aimee Violet, lead guitarist Ali Vicious, bassist Effie, and vocalist JJ, as well as their own personal relationships to the horror genre and how it inspires them.

Lesbian Bed Death’s new album Satan’s Cellar is out now.
