Hocus Pocus 2 is a sequel to Disney’s 1993 family Halloween classic Hocus Pocus, about a trio of witches, the Sanderson Sisters, who are resurrected in Salem, Mass. 300 years after they were hung, on Halloween.
In the sequel, Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.
The original film’s cast of witches, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, return to reprise their iconic roles as the Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson, respectively.
The sequel is directed by Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip, 27 Dresses), from a script by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics).
Hocus Pocus 2 will premiere on Disney’s streaming network Disney+ on September 30, 2022.
